Premium Buffered Cocopeat Compost for Plants | Soil Pop

Upgrade your plants' growing environment with Soil Pop Buffered Cocopeat Compost — the most advanced, plant-safe form of cocopeat available in India. Not just washed — fully buffered, EC balanced, sterilised, and decomposed for superior plant performance from day one.

Used by professional nurseries, greenhouse growers, and terrace gardeners across India who know the difference between ordinary cocopeat and truly premium growing media.

🥥 WHAT IS COCOPEAT COMPOST?

Cocopeat (also called coir pith, coir dust, or coco coir) is a 100% natural, sustainable growing medium extracted from coconut husks — a byproduct of the coconut industry. When processed correctly, it becomes one of the finest soil amendments in the world — lightweight, moisture-retaining, airy, and naturally anti-fungal.

Soil Pop Cocopeat Compost goes through 4 advanced processing steps that regular cocopeat does not:

Process What It Does Why It Matters
Washing Flushes out loose surface salts and dust Reduces initial EC level
Buffering Treats with calcium to replace harmful sodium & potassium ions Permanently lowers EC — protects roots from salt stress
Sterilisation Heat-treated to eliminate pests, pathogens & weed seeds 100% safe, clean, disease-free medium
Decomposition Fully broken down for stable, ready-to-use texture No nitrogen drawdown — nutrients go to plants, not decomposition

🌿 WHAT IS EC IN COCOPEAT — AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?

EC (Electrical Conductivity) measures dissolved salt levels in the growing medium. This is the most important quality factor in cocopeat that most brands never mention.

  • High EC cocopeat → Too many salts → Burns roots → Stunts growth → Kills seedlings
  • Low EC cocopeat (unbuffered) → Salts are only surface-washed → Returns over time
  • Buffered Low EC cocopeat (Soil Pop) → Salts permanently replaced → Safe, stable, root-friendly forever ✅

Soil Pop Cocopeat EC: Below 0.5 mS/cm (ideal range for all plants) Soil Pop Cocopeat pH: 5.8–6.8 (slightly acidic to neutral — perfect for most plants)

☀️ KEY BENEFITS — WHY SOIL POP COCOPEAT IS SUPERIOR

  • Buffered & EC Balanced: Permanent salt removal — safe for even the most sensitive roots and seedlings
  • Fully Decomposed: No nitrogen drawdown — all nutrients go directly to your plants
  • 100% Sterilised: Zero weed seeds, zero fungal pathogens, zero harmful bacteria
  • Superior Moisture Retention: Holds water 8–9 times its own weight while maintaining 22% air even when fully saturated
  • Excellent Aeration: Fibrous structure keeps soil loose, oxygenated, and root-friendly
  • Naturally Anti-Fungal: Inhibits pythium and other soil-borne fungal diseases naturally
  • pH Neutral to Slightly Acidic: Ideal for the widest range of plants
  • Lightweight: Dramatically reduces pot and grow bag weight
  • 100% Organic & Biodegradable: Eco-friendly, renewable, and safe for all growing systems
  • Long Lasting: Does not compact quickly — maintains structure for up to 3–4 years
  • Reusable: Can be sterilised and reused across multiple growing cycles

PEOPLE ALSO ASK — YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Q: What is the difference between cocopeat and cocopeat compost? Regular cocopeat is a raw or minimally processed coir fibre. Cocopeat compost is fully decomposed, buffered, and sterilised — making it safer, more stable, and immediately ready to use with no risk of salt burn or nitrogen drawdown.

Q: Is buffered cocopeat better than washed cocopeat? Yes. Washing only removes loose surface salts. Buffering replaces the harmful sodium and potassium ions locked deep inside the cocopeat structure with calcium — permanently lowering EC and making it safe for even the most sensitive roots.

Q: Can I use cocopeat directly without mixing? Yes — Soil Pop Cocopeat Compost can be used directly as a growing medium for cuttings and hydroponics. For potted plants, always mix with vermicompost and perlite for best results.

Q: Is cocopeat good for all plants? Yes. Its near-neutral pH and excellent moisture-aeration balance makes it suitable for vegetables, flowering plants, indoor plants, succulents, orchids, and even hydroponics.

Q: How long does cocopeat last? Quality buffered cocopeat maintains its structure for 3–4 years. It can be sterilised and reused across multiple growing cycles.

Q: Is cocopeat the same as peat moss? No. Peat moss is harvested from non-renewable peat bogs and is mostly imported. Cocopeat is made from coconut husks — a 100% renewable, eco-friendly byproduct that is abundantly available in India.

I used to buy cocopeat block from other brands which used to have high EC as well as high salt content too ( TDS around 2500+) so it was tedious work to maintain it.
Recently shifted to this brands cocopeat and found out they send EC and salt maintained products, so now I can use them directly with my plants without a hassle.
Overall Good product from soilpop 👍

Maine soil pop ka cocopeat compost mere nursery ke liye kharida tha, bulk main. pehle main cocopeat block use karta tha, but seedlings bohot weak and leggy hote the, also germination be 40- 50 percent hota that. Mere bohot paise seeds pe waste hote the. Maine abhi ye use karna shuru kiya almost 99 % seeds germinate hote hai. Though ye cocopeat block se maihenga hain, but its value for money.
